About Us
Al & Irène
Meeting by chance in Switzerland, whilst both working in the music industry, it did not take us long to understand that by joining forces, the opportunities ahead seemed plentiful and too good to be missed.
We have been together for twenty five years and while life might not always have been easy, we consistantly worked together, when things got tough. There have been tears, although to be honest, most of them have been through laughter and today we feel that we still have a lot more we want to do and that there is a lot more to learn, as we continue on our journey together. We have had the oportunity to work as a team on some succesful projects, as well as our own sperate careers. We were even working together before we met, although we didn’t know it at the time.

It all began for me as a barman and from there to running wine bars and even becoming a hotel manager. The one thing I learned, was how much I love working with people.
Since then, I have enjoyed a successful career in the music industry as a record producer and mix engineer for well over twenty years. This gave me the oportunity to work with C-suite and A-list personnel, some of whom you may well know.
After leaving the music industry behind me, I became curious in understanding more about how our brain works and how to get more out of it.
I fed my curiosity and spent 3 years studying at Regents University in London, at the renowned Quest Institute to gain qualifications in N.L.P. (Master Practioner) Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Solution Focussed Supervison. All these diciplines complimented my skill sets which all help to get the best out of the people who choose to work with me.
Today I run a boutique coaching practice as well as working with company bosses, to help build better teams within their workforce. As a qualified supervisor I see therapists to help them do their best work with their clients and one day a week I see clients face to face as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist in Windsor.
In my spare time I enjoy walking with my wife and our dogs, I love spending time in the kitchen and I still get out on my sportsbike as much as I can.
Before training as a person-centred counsellor at the Metanoia Institute I’ve worked in the music industry as an international marketing manager for Polygram and Universal Music.
Having had the pleasure of working with many international mucisians it became clear to me that my true passion lays in working with people, supporting them in making positive changes in their lives and fostering empowerment on an individual basis.
This led me on a path of learning and self development which is ongoing and assisting my ability to work with my clients.
Since starting my counselling career in 2002 I’ve gained further qualifications in couples counselling, somatic trauma work, integrative supervisor, cognitive hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner as well as co-facilitated a unique stress management course at Brunel University London to support students with huge success rates.
I currently work for Brunel University London as one of the core team members of the counselling service and and see clients and supervisees in my private practice in Lightwater Surrey (Therapy-Surrey.com).
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients from all over the world as a student counsellor but equally love facilitating stress workshops for groups.
In my spare time I love long walks with my husband and two beautiful dogs and enjoy reading, cooking and gardening.

It is not about us, because it's all about you.
Here are a few words from some of the couples that we have been lucky enough to work with. It really is an honour to be allowed in, to help people find the best in themselves, their partner and to help them build better relationships.
We both thank you all.
